Freeze Ups & Burst Pipes
Poorly insulated or non-insulated pipes, especially in or on exterior-facing walls, can freeze – or worse, burst – when subjected to long periods of below-freezing cold. A burst pipe will send water flooding into your home.
If your pipes have frozen, there’s a good chance it has already cracked. You may notice a bulge or crack with ice seeping out. (This means the pipe has burst but has not yet thawed enough to flood your house). You also might notice frost on the outside of the pipe, a bad smell from your drain or faucet, no water coming out of your faucet when you use them, or strange sounds coming from your pipes or when you flush a toilet.
If any of these things happen, immediately locate your main water supply and shut it off. Then call us!
We are available to thaw, repair, or replace leaking, damaged, or burst pipes. We also offer water remediation services to help return your home to normal and prevent the growth of mold.
